We adopted a new puppy about 1.5 months ago. The first few weeks were hard getting the 2 original dogs to adjust to the new puppy. We have gotten through that and the past couple of weeks have been pretty good.

The last day or two my original male dog (Logan) has become more territorial over his toys again. He was like this at first then relaxed a bit, but now is back at it again. He commonly runs accross the room when the new pup (Lance) has a toy. He isn't really mean, he just gives a little bark and then tries to get the toy from him. I have been correcting him by telling him no. I know dogs have a dominance hierarchy that they obey. I don't want to be interferring too much but when should I step in? Logan also has begun licking the toys like his is washing it after he gets it back from Lance. It is almost like he is trying to get Lance's smell/saliva off *his* toy. I am wondering if that is a common thing for a dog to do?

Thanks for any help!

Here is some more information about all of them if that helps any:
