Thread: Is my blue platy pregnant?

She has a gravid spot looking thing but she isn't that fat.... I really don't know please help!!! How can I post a picture on here also?

Hi, yes she may be pregnant when a blue paty is pregnant its like a human pregnancy (in visual terms) its entire fish doent get fatter only her under belly gets bigger like there where a little ball in her but the rest of the fish looks normal, you should also look for bubble nests that pregnant fish make, they do it by going up to the surface gluping air and releasing it underwater if you want give me your email adress and ill send you a photo of a pregnant blue platy.

P.S its also important if she is pregnant get a floating breeder (also works as nursery for the eggs) its basically a plastic box floating where the eggs can be safe from other fish.
