Thread: Looking For A Dog Shelter?

I am looking for an animal shelter in Houston, Texas that will take in Rottweilers. My friend is moving off of her grandmother's property into a new home in two weeks but there is a dog there she has been taking of for some time still without a home.
It was originally her grandmother's but the woman really has no idea how to raise and take care of a dog. Since day one that dog eaten, bathed and slept on my friend's side of the yard. She already has two other dogs she owns and cannot afford to take this dog with her.
The other problem is the Rottweiler wanders out of the yard and has caught mange.
It's not the worse case but he needs to be treated.
It's a male, two years old, energetic and very loyal.

She would prefer to have him sent to a shelter instead of being left behind and being run over by a car of dying from other diseases.
If you have any information about a shelter or adoption agency in the Houston area i would appreciate it if you'd send the information or a phone number.
