I have 1 male bristlenose catfish & 1 female bristlenose catfish in my 2ft fish tank with 3 guppies, a few young fish & 1 siamese fighting fish (that was raised with baby fish so it lets them if their small enough swim in its mouth eat food then swim out & it doesn't bite the fish or anything) the bristlenose though I have heaps of hiding spots I have 1 light & the temperature is 25.4c (normally around 25) & a half coconut with hole cut out & no sharp edges the male bristlenose catfish has been in there for 2 days now and when i shine the torch in i can only see a few of his bristles and eye (his hiding on top & I know his alive coz he moves) so I think he may have eggs. Has he got eggs (if not whats wrong) and how do I check I don't think he's been eating and his in the same spot all the time. I'm scared that if I lift the coconut up & there are eggs he'll swim away & the eggs will die but if I don't I'm worried they'll hatch and the fish will eat them!
