Thread: How to stop a kitten?

I have a kitten thats about maybe 2 months or younger maybe. I got her as a gift so I'm not sure about her age. But she just gets into a lot of stuff. Like she scratches people . Also, she gets into the food (human food) and jumps on the table to eat it. When its bed time, she never goes to sleep. I had to literally force her down and hold her in order for her to go to sleep. So what do I do to care for her and discipline her at the same time?

Well first of all, a kitten is not a baby...they don't have specific bedtimes, and you can't FORCE it to sleep. Holding its head down sounds borderline abusive to me. Maybe it was a stray at one time and had to find its own way to get food, and that's why it jumps on the table. Say a firm "NO" to her and push her (gently) down. Eventually she'll learn. Whatever you do...NEVER hit it, or hold her head down and force her to sleep!!! I think you should give the kitten away to a true animal lover that has more patience.
