Thread: How to properly correct a kitten?

Say for instance, a kitten scratches up the sofa when it has a scratching post. Is sprayinig it with water the best way? It seems kinda mean.

The water is more humane than anything else. It works for my roommates kitten. It doesn't pain the cat in any way.

spraying in the face with a waterbottle seems mean???? i think slapping it across the face is mean!!!!!!! Or tossing it out a moving car. Jeez does water hurt you... it just irritates you and makes you not want to do it agian. Try to see yourself in your cats shoes and youll see a whole new world of how cats live.
