Thread: How old does a female cat have to be before she is ready to mate?

and if she's not ready, does that really matter to male cats?

My kitten is a girl Im assuming because lately she has been attracting alot of male cats to my house. There is this one grey cat who is like a stalker and wont let up. My cat is still very small. To me she still looks like a kitten compared to all of these other burly cats. I try to keep her in but she likes to be outside. She doesnt give in to them though. They try but she hisses until they go away. I have a male cat also and he never tries anything with her, he actually acts like her mother. Im going to say she is about 6 months but im really not sure. Im taking her to the doctors next week to be fixed, hopefully she's not pregnant already.

and another thing im starting to smell alot of cat urine outside of my house and Im guessing its from all these male cats thats been coming around... How do I get rid of this smell? Its starting to enter my house
