What you are planning on doing with your horse.
in my research, you can own 1 horse for $155-200 a month. but that is if you have a pasture, if you have a dirt pasture or barely anything at all...you'll need to buy extra hay. im not including farrier, vet, or anything special. just hay, pellet, and a couple of other things to make your horse comfortable.
It depend on if you are going to grow your own hay and feed or if you are going to buy it.
i live on a farm so i only buy about a bag or two of feed from the store a month, and you have to pay vet and farrier fees, and if you plan on stabling then you have to buy bedding.
but i would say it might be fairly expensive depending on these things but for me its not all that expensive.
It depends on where you live. Cost of hay varies greatly by area, as does veterinary care, and the farrier. Please post more information
