I'm thinking about getting a cat. Right now, it's like a 78% that I'll get one.
The long way of explaining:
I'm only 13 (my birthday is in December though). I have soccer. Practice is 2 weekdays, 1 1/2 hours each. My games are a little over an hour usually only Saturday (one game). The season is ending though, so I'll have more spare time soon. Volleyball is 3 days a week, only 30 minutes each.
I play the piano. It's about 30 minutes 5 days a week.
I get up at 6:30am and I come home at about 3:30PM. I usually have 2-4 hours of homework (with breaks).
And my parents say they would only sometimes, like clean a litter box or pick up fur balls and stuff (about 20% help). But my little sister would love a cat so she'll help a lot (80%-90%).
Overall:
I'll have time to feed the cat. 1-3 hours in the afternoon with it. And I think it'll be able to clean the litter and pick up a few hair balls.
But I'll have practically all weekend with it.

Is that enough?
And it's only going to be one cat (probably a short haired one).
So if you have a short haired cat, how difficult is it to take care of a cat if you're not always home? Like from a scale of 1-10 (1 easy, 10 hard).
