Thread: How Do I Train my 1 year old male Chihuahua to be House Broken?

My 1 year old male Chihuahua pees everywhere in the house. I let him go outside but he pees on plants instead of grass. There is two other dogs in the house one recently adopted at the pound. I scold my chihuahua and punish him when he is bad. This has been going on for more than a year now.

Walk him wear you want him to pee. Give him treats and rewards for peeing in the correct place. Take your Dog out constantly to get him to go outside until he learns.
Also get him fixed if you haven't all ready!

You really should have taken care of this earlier! Why didn't you train him at 3 months? I adopted a puppy mill dog who was already 6 years old and I was able to retrain him. Takes lots of walks and lots of time and treats.

I would make sure that when you see her sniffing around take her outside and play fetch with her or keep her inside with a bunch of toilet paper and news paper

Your to late. Now he is a year it will take forever to train him.
