How do i get my dog to stop peeing on the carpet?

She was fully potty trained for about a month until she was attacked by dogs and went to the hospital. now she urinates on the carpet everyday mostly in front the the mirror. any information why/solutions?

if you are home... right after she does it, give her a little bit of tobasco sauce on a spoon. do this every time and eventually she/he will stop... and this does not hurt the dog=]]

Firstly you need to get rid of the urine in the carpet: use urine off, or a similar product that has bio-enzymes to break down the urine and bacteria that cause the smell. If not them, find a laundry powder that has the bio-enzymes. Soak the carpet to the underlay!

Then, when you catch her peeing make a quick noise like "uh-uhh" and whip her up and outside to the grass (or wherever she's supposed to pee). When she goes in the right spot give her lots of praise and a litle treat so she knows she did something right.
    Hope it helps!

Several possibilities here...might be a bladder infection that has nothing to do with her recent attack, or she could be traumatized by the sight of another "dog" in the mirror and fears another attack. Recommend you get a urinalysis done at your vet office and discuss thi problem with the vet as soon as possible.
