Thread: How big do you think our dog will get when he is full grown? At what age...

...will he reach his full weight? We have an 8mth old Pitt Bull/Labrador mix puppy who currently weighs 60 lbs. We are all wondering how much he will weigh when he is full grown. He was 30 lbs at 5mths but was a rescue and was at least 10-15 lbs underweight when we got him. He has gained 30 lbs in 4 months and is a beautiful big baby. To give you an idea of his size, he has the head of a Pitt Bull and the body (long legs) of a Lab.
We have also been debating on when he will quit growing. I say at a year but my husband says 18mths. Anyone out there know for sure?

We don't know his parents. He was a rescue at 5mths. We found him on an oil road with burns from the middle of his back to his tail. It took him a month to recover from his injuries.

do you know anything about the parents. take the biggest parent and estimate from that.
might grow until 18 months. may get up to 100 pounds.

its hard to tell what weight he will be at full size, because all dogs are different especially with mixed breeds. i have pits, and most are about 60 or so pounds full grown. because hes mixed it may differ. he will be full grown at 2 years of age and should be on a puppy food until then.
