I've had him for 6 months (he's about 8 months old now), but all of a sudden, he's started acting up. When I first got him, he stayed in the crate when I was gone, but now that he is able to hold his bladder and has calmed down a bit, I'm leaving him out more while I'm gone. However, he's been getting into trouble... eating shoes (which he never did before), trying to eat the remote for the TV... all things he never did up until recently. He's neutered, and perfectly healthy. He gets plenty of exercise and attention. He has tonssss of toys to play with, so I'm not sure why he's doing this. He's a great dog and I absolutely adore him. I want to be able to leave him out while I'm gone and not crate him, and I've done everything I can to puppy proof the apartment. But like I said, this is all new behavior. He has never been a chewer until now. Any suggestions as to why he's acting up all of a sudden, and what I can do to stop this behavior? Thanks.
