Thread: Fighting dogs.....old topic I am sure?

I have been reading through many emails. I have two female small dogs who just started fighting. Right now I have them separated. I am planning on getting them both fixed.....do you really feel that will work. Some advice on how to reintroduce each other after surgery... My husband feels it is a waste of time. That we need to just get rid on one.....I don't want to do this. Please help. I know you are all talking about all this dog training...but since I never have had this issue..I guess I felt they were pretty well trained. They have a big fenced yard and get lots of exercise. They were never jealous of me. I could hold them both and was never an issue. Just started when they went into heat. They have been through several seasons and never fought before. Please some advice.

getting them spayed will fix it mostly and you may need to put them in some training classes as well. They are fighting for dominance when they reached sexual maturity they started fighting when they hit sexual maturity

all you can do right now is try getting them fixed asap.
