Thread: Dog Walking advice?

I have two Jack Russell's that are 5 months old. I walk them everyday, ususally a lead walk at lunch and a free walk at night, across fields etc. My proble is that they get extremely excited when they see other dogs. If they are off the leads they will run and see the dog and then usually come back to me. If they are on their leads (on a road side) they go mental - barking and jumping etc. I dont think that they are being agressive, I just think they want to go and play/meet/see the other dog.

They used to do the same with people (not quite as bad) but they dont bother anymore.

Ive been adviced to just keep walking and ignore their 'carrying on' and they will give up.

Any advice?
