    Cat poops on the rug?

    We've had her since she was 2 months old and she just turned a year old. She just started pooping on the carpet a week ago. She did it in another room a couple times but we thought it was because we put her to bed too early (she sleeps in my aunts room because we have another cat she didnt like but is ok with now) Now she does it under the bunny cage (almost everyday this week). She uses the litterbox so I don't know why she poops there. 2 litterbox's is not an option. Any help?

    i bet there is something different going on for her now
    if she's been ok for the past 10 months and there is sometihng different then i'd look into these things

    * is she sick?
    * did you change litter brands? cats can be very fussy creatures!
    * you said stuff with the other cat is ok now, could the other cat be scaring it and being territorial with the litter box?
    * did the other cat pass away? if so, your current cat could be missing it

    i don't know if any of these things apply, but hopefully it's a simple solution like going back to your old brand of kitty litter

    that's strange, cats usually bury it...maybe she's stressed or sick. try taking her to the vet, they might be able to help you.

    Get some lemon or orange slices and place then on the edges of the rug.
    Cats HATE citrus...so...he/she will *hopefully* avoid this area.

    if their litterbox isn't clean enough, they often will find other places. Also, could she be mad at you for something? She also might just see/smell the bunny poo and think that is where she should go too.
