Can my Fiddler Crabs survive long with low salt content, salt content low...
...enough for 2 gouramis to survive in? I had 3 gourami (2 blue 1 bright orange)
They've been with me for 3 years in a 15-20 gal tank and were living happily. Within the first year the first one died(blue) because of poor conditions, but since then i've improved and the last two have been with me ever since. I wanted a bit more cleanliness in my tank so i thought about getting a scavenger or a cleaner fish so i purchased two fiddler crabs. I added them to my tank yesterday and since then they seem happy. But recently i've read and fiddler crabs do best in brackish water conditions. I wanted my gourami in there too so i read to see about gouramis and it turns out the can tolerate very little salinity So i want to know whats the lowest level of salt content my crabs need to survive and the highest my gouramis can tolerate. If not then whats the requirements for subtle living conditions for crabs, and would they be ok in about a 1 gal gold fish bowl?
