Anyone know anything about the breeding pedigrees?

We have a male black lab and a chocolate female lab. The black labs great grandparents and the choc labs great, great grandparents are the same dogs. Can these two dogs still be bred together? How many generations do you have to space dogs out? These are hunting dogs. We don't want dumb dogs.

No, you can't breed those dogs. Line breeding is only ever done under CONTROLLED circumstances, by experienced breeders, when absolutely necessary to BETTER the breed. Spay and neuter your dogs, and they will thank you for it. So will the millions of Labs in shelters right now.
