Thread: Why can't I manually select any other GPS COM port for iGo on my PDA?

I have a HTC Touch Cruise with iGo 2006 Plus installed. I know for a fact that I have the internal GPS receiver set on COM port 4 (I configured it before like that and worked perfectly) but after re-installing I am no longer able to use COM port 4. No matter whether I select from iGo settings 'AUTO' assign port or manually select port 4 (or any other) it always tries to find the receiver (scans) on port 7 (and obviously tells me no GPS receiver was found).

Why does it do that and how can I configure iGo, in the end (i.e. force it to use Port 4)?
