    what does soft reset on a pda mean? :S?

    i am trying to install an application onto my mda vario III but it says to install it i need to soft reset it.. i use to know what it meant but dont anymore! will it delete all of my existing applications?

    A soft reset it taking the battery out. The phone won't do the reboot unless you do that.

    simply no i have to soft reset my pda sometimes and all the data is still there. hope that helps

    A soft reset simply means to turn it off and turn it back on again. No you wont loose any data.
