Thread: PDA suggestions for a maintenance guy?

I would like to get a PDA (personal digital assistant) for my job as a maintenance guy, it doesn’t need to hold a huge amount of data.
What features I’m looking for:
- a secure case / holster that I can wear on my belt
- small
- Rugged (I’m up and down ladders and in and out of tight spaces)
- water resistant
- upload-able Windows PC interface
- usable typing keypad – user friendly
- compact flash would be a plus

I don’t own a cell phone – and have no plans of getting one.
I don’t think I can afford the latest and greatest; my budget is something under 0.

I’m quite open to buying older technology (amazon, ebay, craigs list, etc).
