Is it legal to be taken on handheld camera in the house of someone without

my knowledge or consent? How, my cleaning lady has been taken on handheld camera in the house of someone she cleans for without her knowing it. She found out when she saw images of herself on the computer of the person she cleans for. She is baffled as to why he wants these images of her. Is that legal? Can he legally make such videos, and if yes, can he legally use them to show them to other people etc?
Sorry, I meant "Hi" and not "How" at the beginning of my question.

This has happened in the UK, thus my questions regards the UK law.

Unfortunately with all the techno stuff around...she can request that she not be photographed because it was not part of her job. No one asked to have a picture of her in the house when she was hired. She needs to tell them to get rid of the picture and if they wish to take one with her permission she will gladly pose with the family. Even though its their house...it's her invasion of privacy since she committed no crime nor was there any suspicion of any crimes committed in that house in order to warrent them taking her picture

It's perfectly legal in the US to install security cameras in your own house. I don't know what the laws are in the UK, but here, you have a right to protect your personal, private property, even with "hidden" cameras.

"Nanny cams" have been used in court to prove that babysitters were abusing and/or neglecting the kids they were hired to take care of.

And why is a cleaning lady fooling around with someone's computer when she's supposed to be cleaning the house?
