iphone installing pda programs?

I'm thinking of unlocking my iphone for this reason only, that is i want to use my iphone to install a pda program to be specific I want to install the Merck manual and davis's drug guide which can be placed on a PDA. Can i use the installer app on the unlocked iphone to install these PDA programs?
