Thread: How can i show some PDA?

So i've been dating this girl for a few weeks now. We really connect, get along, yada yada.

When we're alone, we're really comfortable with eachother. We've kissed for a while on more than one occasion, i mean. (granted, we're still kind of getting out of the awkwardness stage, but it's really progressing)

So tonight we were slow dancing at a party, and i leaned in for a kiss. She pulled away and told me that she's "not one for PDA" which i get.

However, it's not just kissing that she's afraid of. She's incredibly shy, to the point of not wanting to show any type of PDA whatsoever. She said that she's just trying to get used to the whole idea.

So while we were at the party, a few different guys were trying to hit on her. What exactly was i to do? She's afraid of PDA, so i have no way of showing 'hey, we're here together'. I feel i can trust her, but that's not really the point (as far as the other guys thing goes)

Any idea how i can handle this? Should i just try and convince her? I'm new to the dating thing.

Just put your arm around her or hold her hand

Is she cool with holding hands? It's a start. After she learns to be okay with that maybe you could hug her in public, and later maybe a kiss on the cheek. Just start small and as she gets more comfortable try other ways.
