Would like to be able to get internet like the iphone and blackberry on the go. Is it as good as those?

You won't be able to get on the internet with Wi-Fi...but you'll be able to get the internet with the cellular signal.

Every single cell phone can go on the internet...the only difference is that the smart phones (iPhone, Blackberry, etc.) all "require" unlimited data as they are business phones so you need to be up to date almost all the time.

Wi-Fi specifically is a type of connection. You need to be within range of a wireless router. Whilst the cell phone internet is within range of a cell tower (so as long as you can get a signal, you're on the internet)

"on the go", no, you need to be within range of some access point. That would be 30-50 feet.
    Hope that helps.
