a laptop for recording? I want to record speech from a handheld dynamic XLR microphone into my laptop. This is for recording a stage-and-podium speech that will also be videotaped.

I was wondering if an audio interface is required, or if I can just get a long XLR female to 1/8 adapter to plug into the little mic jack on my laptop.
