Agreed, and my response, obviously, is "no".

As I responded to ET, I find the "public nuisance" statutes pointless. Too vague. It's nice to know that if you espouse a line of thought that ain't popular you can get tossed on your ass and tasered. I admit, as above, that he was being a jackass. But if we tasered every jackass, half of MAP alone would probably be dead, myself included!

Isn't that the point of vague, open-ended statutes--to serve as "catch alls" for law enforcement?

I don't care what the law is or isn't in this situation. The fact that they can tazer someone for asking a long winded question seems wrong to me.

he wasn't tasered for that, he was tasered for resisting the police officers, whether or not they should have been restraining him is a different matter

I don't think the guy should have got ejected for asking the questions that he did.

I also don't think tazing him was necessary.

HOWEVER

They plugged him with the tazer, and sat there and said "we're gonna taze you," and then said "taze him." Both times he had the chance to relax. Both time he didn't, and then he got hit.

I'd taze him twice. Once for resisting arrest, and once more for being an idiot.

All the yelling and screaming made it worse. Thats what happens when you act like that. They weren't even arresting him at first, looks like they were just escorting him out of the building. What a r-tard.

Kinda reminescent of a youtube vid I saw where a suspect was placed in a carotid restraint, but not applied, continually yelling clearly that he can't breath and continues to resist rather than submit

Obviously you must not have watched the video and seen the whole resisting arrest part of it. Again... a small dose of 'not what you ask but how you ask it' would have worked a little bit better for him.
