Have you altered that photo? Wasn't as defined here, just sort of greyed out and as the white disapears it is replaced with a pinky/red

Went out the back garden and had a look. All I could see was a small-ish, slightly red moon. Not exactly exciting, and not worth braving the cold for!

It was good to watch it happen though, now it is just as you describe, watched that last solar eclipse on the bonnet of my car in a carpark in Brum.

Its amazing how much the moon actually moves in 5secs... those are taken with 3sec shutters, and are still a bit soft.
