Any suggestions as whether I should go ahead and get the touch hd (got a deal for $650 unopened unlocked) or wait it out and get the N97 (releasing in 1-2 months supposedly). Also a link that shows everything that comes with the HTC phone and maybe a nice case for it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I would suggest the HTC Touch HD. Having worked in a phone company for the past three years, all Nokia N series handsets that are released are generally shit and prove to be useless. Battery life being the biggest issue rendering the phone useless in times of emergency

HTC handsets never ever reach their full potential but are more reliable as they are very open with how CRAP the battery life is on their handsets so people who buy them kinda know what to expect. The HD is also meant to be better than the iPhone which is the biggest seller on the market at the moment. I personally, do not agree as the iPhone is the best thing since sliced bread but hey, these phone companies will say anything to sell their product.

Go for the HD (or if you change your mind about handset choice then the iPhone)

Also, Nokia always delay release dates simply because they release too many handsets in such a short time
