I would like to think adding pigment to a makeup brand would not be so difficult but apparently it is. Mainstream makeup brands have an excellent color selection, but these brands are also limited in quality. Certain other makeup types, especially water proof foundations, mineral foundations, airbrush makeup, and body makeup are completely limited to pale skin tones. The new Almay makeup that goes on white and matches the skin tone is an example of this. Anyhow, my question is mainly why adding more pigment to these types of foundations is so difficult. Could it be that the cheaper foundations that melt right off your face (everything you can find at a regular store) are more open with the color palate because the money does not go on high quality ingredients? Why not make these available with the paler ones? Celebrities have access to them so they must exist.
