I recently downloaded a program of Limewire and now i have annoying advertisements popping up, random audio advertisements, and just random beeping. I used my anti-virus and scanned it, and quarantined what it detected but the problem continues. If anybody knows what else i can do please tell me. By the way the pop-ups come up still when im not on the internet.

Even if your anti-virus deleted those things, it can still persist on your computer.

I suggest backing up your files and re-install Windows XP for your protection and for the future protection of your files.

Once any virus hits you, re-install XP right away.
It could either be a Virus or Malware...

Oh and by the way, LimeWire isnt that bad. It doesnt bundle spyware or viruses like Kazaa or Morpheus does. Its just that I think you downloaded something that had a virus contained inside it.
