More details emerging on the long-rumored plan to pay Zune owners for the multi-level marketing of their music, including this tidbit found by Zune Scene: "According to the patent, Microsoft would like to erect a system by which pirated music (yes the term pirated is used in the document several times) can be transferred to other Zune devices, and the sender can be paid a sales commission. Of course this would work with legally obtained music also." Anyone want to bet on who the first label to try and get a commission from these meager amounts will be? We're going with Universal, if only because there's precedent.
