Why do they show Mountain television shows two hours earlier than Pacific
television shows? On the East Coast, they air shows at 8:00 Eastern / 7:00 Central. That makes sense to me, as it means that the shows are being aired at the exact same time (Central time being one hour behind Eastern time).
On the West Coast, they air shows at 7:00 Mountain / 8:00 Pacific. Because Mountain time is one hour ahead of Pacific, this means that shows are aired in Mountain Time two hours before the shows are aired in Pacific Time (one hour because the networks start Mountain shows an hour earlier, one hour because of the time zone change). This makes no sense to me?
Can anybody explain?
