Bear Images in Palo Alto, CA is a great place to buy cheap professional-grade film. I think a roll of Kodak Portra film is only $7. http://www.bearimages.com/If you don't live near Palo Alto, you can try http://www.bhphotovideo.com/. Their Portra film is about the same price.
