Thread: 'R' movies?!?

Do you just need a parent with an ID to buy the tickets for you, or does a parent with an ID have to come into the theatre with you?

R means anyone Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian

"Rated R, Under 17 Not Admitted Without Parent"

Your parent has to go with you. But it's not like breaking into the Fort Knox. Most theaters won't card you and even if they do, once your parents buy your tickets the employees won't put a lo-jack on you to verify that your parents are with you.

Technically the parent is supposed to be entering the theatre with you. I have seen people kicked out before when the parent leaves even after buying their own ticket. It's kinda crazy and stupid I think.
