I saw it last night and could not believe how bad it was. The film felt so rushed. The audience was laughing at inappropriate times.
Is it time for the remakes to go away?

dude I saw it last nite and I think that if you are going to remake a classic movie than you should at least try to stick to the original story line or you are just taking a good classic slasher flick and ruining it
Atsilanna what do you think a remake is?
DUH scene for scene.. if they change it its A sequel not a remake.
DUH
as for your question,
no it wasnt that bad.
and i like some remakes so get over it.
there are some movies that need remakes.
TRON
The Pirate Movie
and a few select ohters.
I saw it last night too, and if I hadn't seen the original, I would have liked it a lot. But I have seen all the original movies, and because of that, I did not like it that much at all. The original is definitely the best. However, sometimes, the right director can take an all ready fantastic movie and make another good run of it. It really depends.
While Halloween may run a close second, Psycho has to be the worst horror remake ever.
I mean COME ON... Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates??? And to just remake the same movie scene for scene? It really took all the excitement out of it.
Definitely not. The Fog was the worst remake. The original was so good, but the remake made me so pissed that they could make such a good original so bad in the remake.
i think halloween was rushed too. it was like a sequel to a jason film mixed with a porno. but its not the worst remake, that goes to amityville horror remake. i found that one to be quite the piece of crap.
