why is my motorola razor only sending my text messages in multimedia messages?

Well, i have a motorola razor with the at&t [cingular] provider. Lately every text message i send just automatically sends as a multimedia text message and i have no idea whats going on, does anyone know whats wrong and/or how i can make it stop?
