Razr2 V8 Question !!!!!!!!?

okay my razr2 V8 wont let me download picture messages . when i try to download a pic a note comes up saying " memory full - picture message could not be downloaded because memory is to full please delete some files to receive messages " i know what this means but i dont know how to delete the files there saying so i can make room i already deleted a whole bunch of files but nothing did the job so if anyone knows step by step please let me know thanks
