Problem with sending and receiving text with pictures on my Motorola Z3.?

Purchased an unlocked Motorizr v3 (currently have AT&T service) and am receiving error message: "unable to download" when a text is sent to me with a picture and "message could not be sent" when I try to send a text message with a picture. Any suggestions? Didn't have this issue with my other Motorola phone.
