How do I get the Motorola Droid without signing a contract?

I want the Motorola Droid but my dad works for AT&T, so he cannot sign the contract for a different service (In this case, Verizon). I might come across the phone itself, but how can I get the service without him signing a contract?

I am 15 by the way, so I can't sign it either.

it's not worth the risk but check out this htc phone.

it's just like the droid but for at&t but you may have to wait till late aug.
