Why don't microsoft sell Windows and Office as one product?

Obviously there's billions of reasons why but could they afford to do that and even sell a combined Windows and office at the same price they currently sell both for? Is the reason they don't justifiable? For instance if they did would they still make a good profit? It seems to me they could because even though they'd make a lot less profit as we all know there's a lot of profit that basically they don't need!!!

or put another way. Why are they so greedy?

Because one is the OPERATING SYSTEM and the other is an APPLICATION. While many use MS Office, there are alternatives. Plus, if MS tried to do this, the US Government would slap a monopoly lawsuit on them so fast you'd hear the thwack in China.
