England? I have joined a living history group and was assigned the role of a salt trader. The question I have is what would have been a realistic price for salt? Also what types of salt would have been used? Would the "Artisan salts" have been available or used. I know that most meat was salted to preserve it from spoiling and as such salt was necessary for survival. How can i make this character seem realistic and accurate when portrayed in 1570 England?
