Thread: What is the best way to keep a house up for sale clean and organized for showing?

We have 4 kids and 4 pets. We are trying to keep the house clean,organized and un-cluttered so we can easily show the house when the realtor calls. So far, we have not had any luck. I simply can not keep up with this many people and their messes! I have asked each family member to clean up after themselves but the kids refuse to help. We would like to sell as soon as possible because the kids are out of school for the summer in 2 weeks. We want to buy a house twice the size of our current one so every one will have more space.

rent a storage unit on a month to month basis and stick all the clutter and extra toys in there. the less little stuff and cluttered rooms you have the faster it will sell... .make sure you take down like all the family momentos... pictures on the walls, or stuff on the fridge... buyers what to picture themselves living in there and its hard when your house is still all about you and your family
