What went on in the World Trade Center? What did it symbolize for the terrorists who flew planes into it on 9/11?

And also- what do they plan on doing with Ground Zero? Are they currently building a new World Trade Center?

well in some minds the world trade center was a symbol of america and how far we have come and they plan on putting a memorial and a museum there along with a new building that they are going to call woeld trade center as of now could change everything should be done by 2014 this is stuff i did a little reserch on so some oof the facts might not be 100% but that is what i am pretty sure what they are doing.
