or can i move if i so choose? We started our lease in June. Its NOT in a great neighborhood but it was three days before we had to vacate our old apt so it was down to the wire. This was the only apt that would let me park a short yellow bus as i am a special needs bus driver. Now we are being told that the landlord is trying to sell the building. However, the current landlord has told us (the tenants) that if we wanted to we could sign another lease to lock rent in at our rate for an extended 6 months.
My question is: What if I wanted to seize this opportunity to move out. Can I? Or am i forced to sign a new lease because my existing one doesn't end until June 1st 2012?

Could capacity be an excuse to leave? Currently its My husband and me with our 3 year old son and husbands little brother in a two bedroom apt. And now sometime in late December or early Jan I'm due to have twin girls.
