how can i get more sales and not feel awkward?

i work for a place called vector marketing and we sell cutco knives. its a great opportunity with amazing pay and even college credit!! the only problem is i don't have a lot of close friends so i have very few appointments and references. and on top of that i'm an extremely shy and nervous person. any ideas on how to gain more contacts in my area and also gain confidence??

Don't worry about rejection. It's all in the numbers. The more you contact people, the more sales you will have.

Make sales calls to local companies and individuals. Do cold calls. Ask for referrals. Drop your brochures and business cards off at local restaurants and salons. Look for people in stores that are looking at knives similar to what you sell and recommend you knives and tell them why your knives are better! GOOD LUCK!
