Do people bargain your services too much?
I work as a housecleaner and noticed something that has been happening lately. People call me for an appointment and I give them an estimate. When I tell the fair price, they want it less than half of it. I'll mention an example: One of the houses has 5 bedrooms and 2 kitchens (one in the basement). At the appointment, the owner told me she wanted the inside of closets and fridges clean twice a month, her deck and garage sweeped whenever necessary and to push the couch and fridge, so that I can clean behind and under them. Ah! I should be very careful to her marble floors, mopping and drying it right after not to leave stains. Her shower doors should also be dried and I should go back after a while to check if there were no water stains at all. I should also bring always the same helper (which I do, but I cannot guarantee she will always be available to work for me). Well... I said ok to everything and gave the price: $120, but she wanted to pay only $80! Are u facing the same problem?
Ah! The original price was $150, but I told her I could give her a discount.
