Can anyone explain how AT&T/Bellsouth pays their employees? I am not referring to

the cell phone sales.? I had a job interview today for a particular advertising company in Mobile, Alabama. They are hiring entry level marketing managers. Of course, I would have to start as a sales representative selling one of their programs. The person that interviewed me told me they are paid a base salary of $350 OR commission based off of how many programs that I sell. So let's say one of the programs cost $99 then I would get that commission and if I sold one everyday for a five day period, it would equal to about $495. Therefore, I would get the $495 not the $350. Their employees are paid weekly. Eventually, if I do well, I will move up to a trainer, then assistant manager, then marketing manager. Does anyone work for them and know anything about how this works and can explain it better to me? I don't wanna be impulsive. It sounds okay, but is the $350 before taxes or what? I don't mind selling, but really I just need more money than what I'm making. Any assistance would be greatly apprecaited.
