compatible with windows 98? alos, vent wont work, as it has 2 support typing, cuz who i wanna talk 2 has no mic or soundcard. if u can help, it wuld b greatly appreciated. (preferably support both talking and typing, but just typing is fine)

Typing? In game? Doesn't exist. There isn't any program that can embed itself into your game and support typing. Voice programs can work because they exist outside the graphics rendering, but typing would have to go over that.

Besides, most games support typing and chat already, so why on earth would you need a program for that?

ARE YOU KIDDING!!!!

XFIRE (been out for years) Gamespy comrade and GSC all embed in your games, all allow voice, TYPING as well as screen-shots and (xifire) offers ingame movie capture.

man do some research before making definitive answers like that! Now as for the above poster, win98 may be difficult to locate an ingame chat program, not that its doesnt exist, but not many vendors cater to that old of an OS. good luck - when you finally do upgrade - all the above mentioned programs will run fine
