We're not headed toward disaster, not now that Bush is out of office. I think we need to regain our status as a "world power" or "super power" as some people put it.

Ask the fear monger in chief, Obama. The only way to sell people hope is to make them feel hopeless. Obama has been talking up a crises until it became a reality. Got people so desperate and fearful they were willing to vote for him. Now he has no way to fix the crises he drummed up. All it takes to create a real disaster is to convince people that it is real. Once enough people believe it, it becomes reality.
It not only "could be," it "is." I don't think that some Republicans get the fact that the American people tired of the controlling of the population through Bush's fear tactics and won't be swayed by it now. The longer they spout this hysterical nonsense, the more voters they lose. It will probably take the elections in 2010 for them to learn that fact. If they even learn it then.
